Ex militant of Niger Delta, Chief Government Ekpemukpolo alias Tompolo has hand picked the running mate of the PDP Governorship candidate of Delta State,Sen Ifeanyi Okowa .
Tompolo have now displayed his undisputed political heavy weight in Delta State politics,his nominee for the deputy Gubernatorial ticket Kinsley Otuaro, is a lawyer,also a commissioner in the State, is of Ijaw ethnic group,his name have been submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC,
However ,other minority ethnic group like the Isoko's are unhappy over it ,that Tompolo stole the ticket that ought to be their,the emergence of the Governorship candidate,Sen Okowa was said to have been also manipulated by Tompolo against the will of the sitting Governor Emmanual Uduaghan,it is widely said that Tompolo swung the vote to favor Sen Okowa,Political stake holders in the state say this development violet PDP zoning arrangment and have brought to question the negative effect the undue influence of Tompolo will have on President Jonathan.
