History was made at the weekend in Ofagbe community in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State following the return of a child to his biological father after 19 years of living with another man whom he thought was his father.
The drama took the community by surprise when the mother, names withheld, revealed that her son, who is already a teenager is not the biological son of one Mr. Bob Musa Oviemuno but the biological son of her former lover.
It was gathered that the woman and the biological father were lovers some time ago and she got pregnant for him, before she married her husband, but she kept the secret to herself due to some reasons which she said were beyond her control at that particular time.
Consequently, this continued to haunt her as she felt she had committed a crime against humanity, herself, her son, her husband and her former lover.
She said she could no longer bear the guilt, which informed her reporting herself to her parents who in turn, drew the attention of both families.
Initially, all attempts to proffer solution to the case proved abortive as it met stiff opposition from the husband and in-laws who refused to listen.
The case was later brought before the traditional ruler of the community where the woman told the story of what transpired between her and the husband, and insisted that her former love is the biological father of her 19- year- old son....Culled
