Kaduna State Saves N221m Stopping Hajj Sponsorship

           

Kaduna State Governor Nasir El Rufai said yesterday the state have saved N221.8million for not sponsoring hajj or Pilgrimage  this year.
He spoke through his media aide Samuel Aruwan,yesterday while announcing the appointment of  Alhaji Zubairu Jibril,The Emir of  Birnin Gwari,as the Amirul-Hajj for the state for 2015.
But the state will still send 116 official and guild to enhance smooth operation of the Hajj for the 5,682 pilgrims from the state the governor said.

He said  “The government will discharge its obligation to the pilgrims and send a delegation of guides, preachers, medical personnel, media professionals and pilgrim officers.
“The official delegation will be led by the Emir of Birnin-Gwari, Alhaji Zubairu Jibril, who is the 2015 Amirul-Hajj.
“In subsequent years, government will consider ways of further reducing its expenses while protecting the comfort of pilgrims,” he said.
