An unidentified woman who was caught trying to kidnapp a child yesterday at Aka Road, Okokomaiko of Lagos has confessed that she is member of a gang of 27 woman from Benin republic mandated to kidnap mainly children.
The lady was always seen around the area pretending to be a lunatic until she was caught in an attempt to kidnap a child,after serious receiving serious beating by mob that caught her, afraid of been killed she confessed and said
“we were 27 women that came as a syndicate from Benin Republic. Each woman was given five phones to contact their buyers once the targets, mainly little children, were found. We then discard the phone after transactions to avoid been traced. The abduction is for outright sale, not for a ransom.”About 7 children has been reported missing in the past two month.
The case had been transferred to state CID, Panti,according to the Public Relation Officer,SP Dolapo Badmos
