Palestinian Female Teacher Wins $1m Award Prize

   

Palestinian female teacher Hanan al-Hroub wins Varkey Foundation award of $1m for her exceptional contribution to the profession.the Palestinian who grow up in a refugee camp was awarded the prize by the Prime Minister of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Sunday.

"I am proud to be a Palestinian female teacher standing on this stage," a jubilant Hroub said.
"I accept this as a win for all teachers in general and Palestinian teachers in particular." she said as she received the award.
