Two Undergraduate Sentenced To 3 Years Imprisonment For Cultism

  

Two student of Ekiti State University,Akintunde Olumide and Oladapo Olaoluwa have been sentenced to 3 years jail term for their involvement in cultism.

They were convicted by Justice Mosun Abodunde after finding them guilty on three -counts of stealing, assault and cultism.In her judgement, she recalled that the accused made confessional statements as members of black axe at the Criminal Investigation Department during interrogation.and the exhibit the police found in their custody,a small cutlass, black head warmer, black T-shirt and black trousers during investigation. She held that the short cutlass could not be classed with the one used for agriculture or weeding grass.
“It is not a tool for education, it is a weapon of danger which should not be seen within the school premises,” she added.
Justice Abodunde said the exhibit recovered from the accused made their culpability in the alleged crime weighty.
