For the second time, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, who is standing trial alongside two of his compatriots over alleged treason and maintaining unlawful society, among others, yesterday, accused Justice John Tsoho of bias.
Kanu stated through his lawyer Ifeayi Ejiofor that he was sure that he can not get fair hearing before the judge. He, however, called on the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Auta, to re-assign the case to another judge. New Telegraph recalls that Kanu had raised the same allegation against Justice A.R Mohammed who was hitherto sitting over the case.
The allegation, however, prompted the Chief Judge of the court to re-assign the case to Justice Tsoho. Also, Kanu had filed a notice of appeal, seeking to upturn the decision of the court, which ordered that the witnesses to be brought by the prosecution will be shielded from the public through the use of a screen.
