Ex Head of State, Gowon Except Son After 48 Years

                                 Musa Gowon.

Former Nigerian Head of State, Yakubu Gowon, yesterday accepted in a statement fathering a love Child with late public relation expert Princess Edith Ike Okongwu,putting an end to 48 years paternity dispute.

Gowon acknowledge the result of the DNA test after Musa was released from American Jail and deported to Nigeria after servicing 23 years.
The paternity dispute reached supreme court which Okongwu won but was thwarted by the arrest of Musa by US authority for trafficking heroine into the USA.
Edith and Gowon were Friends in the 60's but Gowon later married Victoria Zakari in 1969.
Edith who was one time Public Relation to Guinness Nigeria   died 2003.

The Statement Reads

He said: “Following years of doubts and speculation, a DNA test was recently conducted to ascertain the paternity of Musa Gowon, who recently returned to the country.
”The results of the tests were conclusive, and they confirm his paternity. We, the family, are working to assist in his rehabilitation following a very difficult period in his life.
”As we look forward to the future with faith in God, we request that our privacy be respected.”
