President Buhari announced there will be no Federal Government delegation in this Years Hajj in Saudi Arabia in his effort to cust cost of running government.
but he said the government will provide consular,security and Medical Services to Nigerian Pilgrims.
The Nigerian Government will save $1m and N30m in local expenditure with this decision.
Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity Mallam Shehu Garba quote the president saying that the decision is not targeted at anybody or any group.
He said the State are at Liberty to sponsor their own candidate if they so desire.
“The states can deal with that (meaning appointment of own delegations) but this year at the Center, we will not be involved” Shehu said.
