IGP Arase Ordered by Buhari to reduce Number of Policemen attached to Dignitaries around the Country

                                       

Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase  has been ordered by President Buhari to reduce the number of police officers attached to dignitaries across the country and be redeployed to regular  police duties
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President confirmed that the president order during his meeting with Officials of the ministry of Police affairs and the Police Service Commission in the Presidential villa.

He also said the president warned that the forth coming Police recruitment exercise must be transparent,that irregularities and extortion of Money from poor Nigerians will not be tolerated.he urge officials in charge of training and recruitment of police to be above board

“You must ensure that the recruitment process is transparent. Those who will conduct the recruitment must be above board. It should not be heard that they receive gratification or extort money from those who want to enlist in the police,” the President was quoted as saying.
