Fuel scarcity hit Cities across Nigeria
Fuel scarcity hit Abuja, Lagos and other cities in Nigeria,Filling stations across the country remain closed to motorist as a result of short in supply of the product.
Importers of the product seem not be interested any longer due to Naira devaluation, the current exchange rate is not favorable to marketers.
Delay in subsidy payment is another factor responsible for the scarcity, couple with high interest on loans from banks.
This situation if not well handled will paralyze commercial activities, because major oil marketers, import 60% of petrol consumed in the country while NNPC import the balance.
The States hardly hit by this scarcity are Lagos Ogun Oyo, Bayelsa,Ondo, Ekiti, Kaduna,Delta,Plateau and Akwa Ibom,Abuja the nations capital appears to be the worst hit by the scarcity. The few places where Petrol is available is selling for N110 and N120 respectively.
