Angry Nigerian Policemen to begin Strike March 28th (Election day)

             


Aggrieved policeman who claim the police Authority has not paid them their arrears and other salary benefits, vow to embark on strike on march 28th, the day of the presidential election to drive home their point that they are serious.

According to police personnel, over 100 retired officer were not paid their promotion  arrears for over two years and feared it may also affect them also.

Those that were been owe salary and arrears amount to about 15,000 policemen and nothing was been done to change the situation by the police Authority

Abba had stated in a document on the 2015 budget Defence presented to the Senate Committee on Police Affairs last week, that the 2014 police budget which suffered a shortfall of N6,464673,537 made it impossible to successfully conclude the payment of personnel emolument in 2014.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, had earlier said the aggrieved policemen would be paid as soon as the Force received money from the Federal Government.
