Singapore declares First Woman President

                   

Halimah Yacob has been declared the 8th President of Singapore and first female president after a walkover election on Wednesday.
Mrs. Jacob 63 was the only candidate deem eligible for the position having served as Speaker of the Parliament for 3 years.
