President Buhari Orders Suspension of SGF,DG of NIA

                            

President Buhari has directed Babalawal The Secretary to the Government of the Federation SGF to be investigated over the allegation of Breach in awarding Contract under the Presidential Initiative On North East PINE and has ordered him suspended from office pending the outcome of the investigation.

 Buhari also ordered the suspension of Ambassador Ayo Oke the DG of NIA, National Intelligence Agencies, and has directed a full investigation to be carried out over the $43m uncovered in Ikoyi apartment which the NIA is laying claim.
The investigation is also to enquire into the circumstances in which the NIA came into possession of the funds, how and by whose or which authority the funds were made available to the NIA, and to establish whether or not there has been a breach of the law or security procedure in obtaining custody and use of the funds.
The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, the National Security Adviser, and the Vice President, is to conduct both investigations.the three-man committee is headed by the VP.
