THE ANOINTING DESTROYS THE YOKES-LECTURE 12
MEMORY VERSE: “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing”Isa. 10:27.

INTRODUCTION: Over the past few lessons, we have investigated thoroughly what the Bible says about the anointing, but today, we shall consider how this anointing can destroy the yoke. The church as it were, is under a sudden and severe attack from the kingdom of darkness. Just like the children of Israel many Christians have allowed the devil to put yokes on them and burdens on their shoulders therefore, we need the anointing to destroy such yokes (Nahum 1:13; Isaiah 14:25).
WHAT IS ANOINTING?
1. The empowerment and unction of the Holy Spirit -1 John. 2:20.
2. The anointing is the enabling grace to do with ease what others find difficult to do -Acts 4:5-10.
FACTS ABOUT THE ANOINTING
1. Man may appoint you but it is only God that can anoint youActs 10:38; 2 Cor. 1:21.
2. God anoints for a purpose -Isa. 61:1-3.
3. Everyone who has the spirit of God is anointed -Luke 4:18.
4. It is the anointing that brings you out from the rest to be the best -1 Sam. 16:13.
5. The only tested approach to yoke destruction is the anointing -Isa. 10:27.
WHAT IS A YOKE?
1. A yoke is any kind of obligation to do certain things you know that are not Godly -Rom. 7:19.
2. Yoke is the rope placed on the neck of a man to enslave him.
3. Yoke is a satanic instrument used to limit a person's growth and fulfilment.
4. Yoke is a device that sponsor affliction in the lives of people- 1 Kgs. 12:11
5. Yoke is that things that places the destiny of a man in the hand of the enemy- Acts 12:6.
6. Yoke is anything placed on the neck to drag a destiny on the floor.
7. A yoke is an evil load cast upon a person by his adversaries.
8. A yoke is anything that keeps you away from becoming all that God has created you to be.
9. A yoke is anything that enslaves you and keeps you in bondage.
10. A yoke is any force that prevents you from having God's best in your life.
TYPES OF YOKES
1. Yokes of death -Heb. 2:15.
2. Yokes of fear.
3. Yokes of confusion- James 3:16
4. Yokes of marital delay.
5. Yokes of barrenness -Deut.7:14.
6. Yokes of addiction.
7. Yokes closed heavens -2 Kgs. 18:42-45.
8. Yokes of sickness.
9. Yokes of sin.
10. Yokes of failure.
SYMPTOMS OF A YOKED LIFE
1. When you are enduring life instead of enjoying life
2. When your resting time is now a wrestling time.
3. When the journey of a day is turning to forty years.
4. Failure at the edge of breakthroughs.
5. Unexplainable diseases and sicknesses.
6. Profitless hard work.
7. Stagnancy.
8. Poverty.
WHEN THE YOKE IS DESTROYED WHAT HAPPENS
1. There shall be no more failure -Phil. 4:13.
2. You are free from want -Phil. 4:19.
3. Freedom from fear -2 Tim. 1:7.
4. You are free from doubts - 1 Cor. 9:10.
5. No weakness -Ps. 27:1; Isa. 40:31.
6. You are delivered from the power of satan - Rom. 8:3.
7. No more defeat -2 Cor. 2:14.
8. You are free from ignorance - 1 Pet. 1:14.
9. You are free from sin -Micah 3:8.
10. Freedom from worry -1 Pet. 5:7.
11. Freedom from bondages - 2 Cor. 3:17.
12. Freedom condemnation -Rom. 8:1.
13. You will discern the truth -1 John 2:27.
14. You will be empowered to pray - Rom. 8:39.
15. God will teach you all things -2 Jn. 2:27.
16. You will testify of the truth of God - 1 Jn. 5:6.
17. You will live a righteous life -Rom. 8:4.
18. You will be strengthened with power- Eph. 3:16.
19. You will be led by God -Rom. 8:9.
20. You will live in joy -Rom. 14:17.
21. You will live in hope- Rom. 15:13.
22. You become untouchable- Ps. 1:5-15.
HOW CAN YOU DESTROY THE YOKE?
1. Surrender your life to Jesus totally.
2. Repent of your sin.
3. Put a demand on the anointing -Luke 4:18, Mark 6:4-5.
4. Have faith in God.
5. Aggressively destroy the yoke through anointed prayers.
CONCLUSION: As the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples at Pentecost in the Upper-room and anointed them, you too can be anointed by God and he shall destroy your yokes. “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36.
