Two soldiers and six civilians are feared dead on Wednesday night at Ejere creek, in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State as militant attacked Army House boat.
Militants struck when some of the soldiers deployed to safe-guard oil facilities had gone on a routine patrol.A senior military officer who confirmed to newsman said the soldiers were taken unawares by the gunmen who fired several shots, killing all occupants of the houseboat before zooming off.
The assailants stormed the area with five speed boats before carrying out the lethal attack.Ejere creeks where the incident happened is a stone throw from Omadina, an Itsekiri enclave in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
