Police shot dead 2 robber who stole N954k church offering

              

Two suspected robbers who stole N954,000  Church offering  were shot dead on Tuesday by Edo State Police Command Operatives.
The suspects were said to have robbed St James Cathedral Bishop's court, Igarra, Akoko Edo local government area of Edo State were they took away N954,000, Mobile Phones, and  other valuables on a tip off from the Bishop adopted son (name withheld).


Police investigation led to the arrest of the suspects (adopted son of the bishop) who confessed giving information to the robbers about the church money yet to be paid into the bank

The robbers were lured by the police through the suspect for a new deal of N2 million, on arrival, sensing danger,in attempt to escape, were shot by the police,one died instantly while the other, died later.

The suspect Informant said his own share of the stolen money was N300,000 and has spent N20,000 from the Money,the suspect who was preparing for marriage later this year has been transferred to the state criminal investigation  department in Benin City
