Pope Francis Visit Lesbos Refugee Camp Promise To Take 10 Refugees Home With Him.

  Pope Francis, pictured arriving at the Moria refugee camp on Lesbos this morning told the asylum seekers: 'You are not alone' 

Pope Francis arrived Greece Island of Lesbos today to have a first hand overview of refugees that crossed into Greece from Turkey fleeing war and violence.
Welcomed by Greece PM Alexis Tspiras and the head of the Orthodox Church at the Airport, he visited the Moria refugee camp where he told them during his address that 'You are not alone.'  
Children lined up to shake hands with the pope with some holding Syrian flags while other were chanting Freedom.

Pope Francis tweeted 'Refugees are not numbers, they are people who have faces, names stories and need to be treated as such,' 

Pope Francis tweeted his support for the refugees before flying out from Rome this morning on his flying visit to Lesbos
