Kanye West Is Sued For Giving Album Wide Release Instead of Only Tidal streaming as He Promised

Wide release: The album has since been released on iTunes, Google Play and even on his website

Kanye West has been sued for tricking fans into signing in to JayZ Tidal after telling fans his album will only be released on JayZ streaming service Tidal, but soon the album,The Life Of Pablo, was available on rival services iTunes,Spotify,Googleplay and his own website.

The class action lawsuit filed by fan Justin Baker-Rhett claims this announcement caused subscriptions to go through the roof, in effect saving the flopping service. Not only is Kanye named in the lawsuit, but so is self-styled media mogul Jay Z's company Carter Enterprises and Tidal itself.

The plaintiff is also alleging two million other fans of the Stronger star were gullible enough to buy subscriptions based on the entertainer's tweet.
