We Won't Ban Hijab Without Consultations -Presidency

The presidency has denied that Buhari has place a ban on the use of hijab, following his remake on his media chat on Wednesday when he said if suicide bombers continues to hide under the disguise of hijab  to kill, his administration  will not hesitate to place a ban on it as suggested by West African leaders..
According to a statement issued by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, on Friday in Abuja, said the speculation concerning the ban was unfounded.
The statement clarified that the Buhari administration would always respect the rights of Muslims to protect their modesty and allow religious freedom as it affects everyone.

“Everything will be done to balance national security requirements with the rights and obligations of citizens under their religions as protected by the constitution,” the statement said.
