President Buhari and Osinbajo slashes their salary by 50%

                    

President M Buhari and his Vice Osinbajo has announced that they will only receive 50% of their salary, that is practically slashing their salary by 50% of the approved amount by Revenue Mobilisation  Allocation and Fiscal Commission.


The decision was disclosed on Friday in a statement made available to Journalist by the Senior Special adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam  Shehu Garba.
President Buhari annual salary as approved by RMAFC is N14,058,820,00,his take home will now be N7M following this decision.
Shehu said Buhari decision have been conveyed to the Secretary to the Government of the Federation,through the state house Permanent Secretary Nebolisa Emodi

“I write to forward the completed IPPIS registration form of Mr. President and to draw your kind attention to Mr. President’s directive that only 50% of his salary be paid to him,” the presidential spokesman quoted Emodi as writing in the letter with reference number PRES/81/SGF/17.
Shehu said Osinbajo had similarly given up half of his official remuneration.
