Federal High Court in Kano has ordered Ex-Governor Sule Lamido and his two sons remanded to Prison in kano till September 28th for recieving N1.35 bn in kickback from government Contractors.
The Money was alleged paid into account controlled by the former governor and his two sons.
Delivering the ruling, Justice Evelyn Anyadike sent the four accused persons to Kano prisons because the EFCC said it lack space in their facilities to accommodate them.rejecting the defence counsel, Effiong Effiong (SAN) plea to keep the accused in EFCC detention facilities.he argued that reminding the accused to prison amount to trampling on their fundamental human right.
The four men however pleaded not guilty to the charge and they were arraign on a 28 count charges,the case was adjoined to sept 28th for ruling on bail application..
There was an outbreak of chaos between supporters and those against the accused in the court premises.
