The Director of Defence Information Major Gen Chris Olakulade said the Army has recovered videos of heinous crime committed by the Boko Haram in the Sambisa forest among other things such as ICT equipment,ammunition and so on.
Some of the content of the video includes Trials, beheadings,execution,Stoning, flogging and those taken during preparation for suicide attack.
The military source said capturing such equipment and video was a sign of the positive side of the war against the insurgence because it is their tool of intimidating the public into submission.
“Some of the video were meant for release through their normal channels to the public before they were dislodged from their camps.
They also show the barbaric life in their so-called caliphate.”
“The media and the public are advised to be careful in handling or sharing of sensitive and offensive videos depicting atrocities that some viewers may find disturbing,” the concluded.
