The Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar over the weekend has go ahead to lobby for Dr Akinwumi Adesina the outgoing Minister of Agriculture and Rural development as the next president of African Development Bank.(AFDB.) from a mandate given him by President-elect Gen Buhari, who has earlier extended his support,during his meeting with President of Ghana John Mahama when they met in Abuja.
A statement from Atiku media office states:His Excellency former Vice President Atiku Abubakar met President Zuma in the company of Dr Akinwumi Adesina during which the directive of President-elect General Muhammadu Buhari was conveyed to Zuma. The issue of South Africa and the Southern African region support for Nigeria’s candidate was exhaustively discussed and well appreciated.”
