A High Court sitting in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, has ruled Wednesday that the former governor of Adamawa State, James Ngilari, be remanded in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
EFCC charged Ngilari for the violation of procurement laws in the award of a N167m contract to one El-Yadi Motors Limited for the supply of 25 units of Toyota Corolla.
Justice Nathan Musa of the Adamawa State High Court, Yola,on Thursday granted Ngilari bail in the sum of N1m and a surety with a property in Yola who must provide a court affidavit of means to that effect.
Ngilari is being tried alongside his former Secretary to State Government and his Commissioner for Finance and Budget, Ibrahim Welye and Sanda Lamurde respectively.
