Israeli PM Netanyahu Visited Entebbe To Mark 40th Anniversary of Hostage Rescue

                           

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu visited Entebbe ,Uganda the scene of 1976 hostage rescue,where his elder brother was killed.

 Israeli special forces freed over a 100 hostages in an airport terminal in an operation in Entebbe,the hostage returned to Israel on July 4th 1976 after a week long in Uganda.he is the first Israeli prime minister to visit sub sahara Africa country since 1987.
The ceremony held at the scene of the rescue was attended by some of the rescued hostages and the some of the Israeli special forces who carried out the operation

Mr Netanyahu said: "Exactly 40 years ago Israeli soldiers carried out the historic mission in Entebbe. Forty years ago they landed in the dead of night in a country led by a brutal dictator who gave refuge to terrorists. Today we landed in broad daylight to be welcomed by a president who fights terrorism."
