Wike Appoints Joseph Yobo As SSA Sport Development

GOVERNOR Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has appointed former Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, as his Senior Special Assistant on Sports Development.

The appointment was contained in a three-paragraph statement issued by the governor's aide on electronic media, Simeon Nwakaudu, in Port Harcourt, on Tuesday.

In the same vein, the governor also appointed Mr Chibuzor Aholu as his Senior Special Assistant on Financial Matters.

According to the statement, both appointments were with immediate effect.

It would be recalled that the former Super Eagles captain held his testimonial/centennial football match at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, last Friday.

The football, which drew the cream of the former and present football stars, was sponsored by the Rivers State government as part of the activities marking the one year in office of the Wike administration.
