Oil Spill threatens Bayelsa Community

                        

Nembe local government of Bayelsa State have been hit by a massive oil spillage triggering panic among the inhabitants.
The development has caused panic in the community since the river affected is the only source of drinking water.the spill occurred at a fishing settlement called Jalingo, which spread to other creeks and waters in neighbouring communities
The spill which was sighted on Monday at about 8pm by fishermen was reported and the Chairman  Oil and Gas and Action Committees of Nembe Kingdom, Chief Nengi James, confirmed the spill and has called on shell to clean up the mess
