Why Tinubu and Akande did not attend APC National Executive Committee Meeting

The All Progressive Congress APC NEC meeting held yesterday chair by  President Buhari was without the Party National Leader Bola Tinubu,and the Immediate past Party Chairman Bisi Akande,both Men were said to have boycott the meeting,giving reason of lack of proper communication from the party leadership.
But the APC spokesperson Lai Mohammed who could not offer a tangible reason for their absent said they are no members of the Party National Executive Committee,NEC.and it is by the Party leadership prerogative power that non members are invited to the meeting.


Tinubu on his part planned to attend the meeting, hence he was in Abuja.but according to Premium Times, “Asiwaju called Papa Akande on Thursday and asked him if he was attending the NEC meeting and Akande asked him if he received any invitation, to which Tinubu said no.

“Papa  said why should you go to a meeting you have not been invited?”

The decision of Both men to boycott the meeting shows that they are not happy with development in the party
