IGP orders Nationwide Stop and search by Police

                   

The Inspector General of Police Solomon Arase has ordered a Nationwide stop and search  in all roads and highways by  men of the Nigerian Police.
 Deputy Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Abayomi Shogunle,In a statement said that the directive was due to intelligence report before the IGP
.

“Sequel to the intelligence report, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Solomon Arase, has directed the commencement of special stop and search on Roads and Highways nationwide.
“The general public is advised to cooperate with Police operatives, by providing answers to questions that may be asked, as well as allowing their vehicles to be searched,” he said

Mr Abayomi said that the operation is not a return of roadblocks to the country but just a temporary measure to address the issue in the intelligence report,he enjoin Citizens to bear with the police during the operations and report any unprofessional conduct of Police Personnel
