Cross Rivers Seek death Penalty for Kidnappers

                 

In an Effort to maintain Cross Rivers state as a the most peaceful and Investors-friendly state, The Governor Ben Ayade has  sent a Executive Bill to the State House of Assembly,seeking death penalty for any one convicted of Kidnapping.


It was contained in a statement signed by Mr Christian Ita, Chief Press Secretary and Special Adviser to the governor in Calabar.

The bill also seek to empower government to seize properties of anyone convicted of kidnapping and other crimes,as well as rewarding citizen who gives vital information to securities agencies on criminal activities.

The statement stated that the governor had approved the constitution of a Security Taskforce, named “Operation Skolombo”.
It named retired Gen. Mannings Nyiam as the Chairman of the taskforce, saddled with the task of riding the state of criminals.
