South African Court bans Sudanese President from Leaving the Country Over War crime Indictment
A Pretoria High Court has order the South African Government to prevent Sudanese President Omar al Bashir from leaving the country,
Bahir is wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crime, crime against humanity,and genocide during the Darfur conflict.
The court order say Bashir must not leave the country until Monday when it rules if he should be handed over to the ICC,the judge orders the South African government to ensure that officials at all border post enforce the court decison.
President Bashir is in South Africa for the 25th African Union summit,he was assured by the South African Government that he will be welcomed and allowed to return to Sudan prior to his visit,according to Kamal Ismail Sudanese State Minister of Foreign.
