Move to stop Gbajabiamila becoming speaker over past conviction in progress

 

A Federal high court in Abuja is today hearing a case filed against Hon Gbajabiamilia from becoming the next speaker of the House of Representative of the 8th Assembly tomorrow.
The suit which was lodged before the high court by the Registered Trustees of Social Justice and Civil Rights Awareness Initiative is presided over by Justice Abdul Kafarati.

The group alleged he was convicted and debarred 36 months in Georgia  United states,for unethical practice
Alojie Nmerengira, the plaintiff told the court that its investigations revealed that Gbajabiamila was convicted by the Supreme Court of Georgia in 2007..
