Man sentenced to 21 years for defiling 6 years old girl

                             

Chidi Ibiam 27 years old trader was sentenced to 21 by a Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja for Defiling a 6 years old Girl,
Justice Ogunsanya handed the judgement after he found the accused guilty of the one count charge brought against him by the state government.


The Prosecution Counsel led by Adebayo Haroun told the court that Ibiam committed the offence December 15th 2012 and was caught after the victim reported him to her mother,Adebayo also told the court that the convict who sells food stuffs and resides in Baruwa area of Lagos is a neighbor and a church member of the victims family.

During the trial the victim referred to the convict genital as TomTom and she testified that he had unlawful carnal knowledge of her 12 different occasion in his shop and his friends house.

The Justice Ogunsanya  said“Parents should teach their children the right names of genitals and give their wards proper sex education, so that they can know what to do in situations like this.”
The Offence is contrary and  punishable under  137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011
