How G-5 Governors,Atiku Cut Tinubu to size
Former Vice President Abubakar Atiku and five former Peoples Democratic Party Governors who defected to APC,worked behind the scene, played a pivotal role to stop Ahmed Lawan from been elected the Senate President,knowing well his is Tinubu's candidate.
Atiku and the five governors were uncomfortable about the rising power and political chess game wizardry of The APC Leader Bola Tinubu and took a swift decision to clip his wing and cut him to size.
Among the Governor are Rabi’u Musa Kwakwanso and Aliyu Wammako (Kano and Sokoto States)who were recently elected into the Senate. they used their influence to stop Lawan for been elected
Wammako had also used his successor, the new governor of Sokoto State, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, the immediate past Speaker of the House of Representatives, to reach out to returning House members to support Hon. Yakubu Dogara in emerging the House of Representatives Speaker according to ThisDay
Atiku issued a statement congratulating the duo,Few hours after the APC national leadership rejected the emergence of Saraki and Dogara as Senate President and Speaker respectively
