President Mahamadou Issuofou of Niger Republic paid President Jonathan a farewell visit today in Abuja,he held a closed door meeting with Jonathan after which he addressed the press.
Speaking in French he said that the outgoing President’s gesture was an evidence of his statesmanship, maturity and humility and the icing on the cake of his numerous contributions to the security, economy and infrastructural development of West Africa.
He added that the way Jonathan conducted himself after March 28 was a good model for West Africa Democracy and a good legacy for other Africa leaders to emulate.
He added that he has worked with Jonathan in the past 4 years in bilateral and multilateral levels and has seen how he conducted himself and the contributions he has made was not surprising.
He said other African leaders are pleased with him.
