Fire that started at midnight Friday has destroyed GSM market in Maiduguri,destroying goods worth millions of Naira.about 14 shops and additional 40 adjoining stalls were destroyed by the fire that started Friday night into Saturday morning,most of the stores touched by the fire were fully stocked with Laptops, cellphones and other accessories.
According to a shop owner,Mallam Babagana kashim who told reporters that they were informed by soldiers stationed near the market that the fire started on Friday Night,The soldiers noticing the flame contacted the Fire brigade,it was the effort of the Fire service that reduced the number of shop consumed by the fire out break.
