A cleaner working for one of the cleaning companies at Murtala Mohammed Airport Lagos found and returned a sum total of N12m to the Airport Authority.
Miss Josphine Agwu ,a casual worker who is on a salary of N7,500 saw the bag in a toilet she was cleaning and acted on instruction from her company to handover any bag unattended, to the Airport security,after asking around she took the bag and sent it to airport security,a total sum of $27,000 was found, a combination of other currencies including Naira added up to N12m when the bag was open
The bag was said to belong to an Emirate passenger by name Samuel,who collected it after much screening.
Miss Agwu speaking to Journalist said this is not her first time of doing this, she found similar things she returned but no reward of any kind, she said however God is the rewarder, she said , she is contented with her salary
Both the Airport manager and the CSO confirmed the incident and promised to celebrate the good gesture of Miss Agwu.She is an Ordinary Diploma Holder in accounting
