Hero Employee Who Saved Lives at Koshers Supermarket Granted Citizenship

                      Selfless: When gunman Amedy Coulibaly entered the shop, Lassana Bathily turned off the freezer and hid shoppers inside before sneaking out and helping police free the hostages


Milian born Lassana Bathily,24, who was an employee in the Koshers supermarket has been honored with French citizenship for his heroism in saving lives during the terror attack that left 4 people dead.Bathily who was a store keeper in Koshers Supermarket switched off the freezer and hid the customers inside before snicking out to assist the police.
Bathily was praised for Courage and Heroism by the Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve in the presence of the French Prime Minister Manuel Valls

              Humble: Mr Bathily, a Mali-born Muslim who has been living in France since 2006, stressed that he is not a hero during his emotional acceptance speech
              Hero: Shop clerk Lassana Bathily who guided six shoppers to safety during the attack on the Paris Kosher grocery where he was working, has been granted French citizenship
