General Buhari Won Jigawa state

                          


The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari has beat President Goodluck Jonathan by a rather comfortable margin.
Declaring the presidential election result, the returning officer – Professor James Ayatsa – who is the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Katsina, announced that General Buhari scored 885, 988 while President Goodluck Jonathan scored 143, 904 votes.
Similarly, the APC won all the three senatorial seats contested in last Saturday general election in Jigawa state

Gov Theodore Orji wins Abia central senatoral zone elections

  

INEC has announced Governor of Abia state, Theodore Orji as the winner of the Abia central senatorial zone election polling a total votes of 65,653.

The results was announced at Umuahia North local Government headquarters used as collation center by the INEC returning officer Dr Innocent Okoro a lecturer at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture,who said the APC candidate got 10,204 votes,while APGA polled,46,070 votes

Police arrests 6 robbers,recovers N9 million from OWO Bank robbery

                 

The Police recovered N9 million from 6 robbers out of the Fifty that robbed banks in Owo last week,the robber were shot dead after two hours of gun battle,an ASP and two policemen were shot dead on arrival of the robber at the police station.

Some vehicles, including that of the DPO of the station, was taken away but later recovered hours later after by the police. 23 assorted fire arms, including 9000rounds of ammunition, 11 dynamites, 100 magazines, ten smoke hand grenade, three steel helments, police berets and uniforms, nine exotic vehicles, were recovered from the robbers.

ECOWAS : Elections are credible

                           


The Economic Community of West Africa States Observer Mission EOS headed by Ghana Ex President,Mr Kuffour declared that Saturday Presidential elections was free and fair and transparent and met the acceptable standard.

Mr Kuffour noted that there was a high turn out of voters, he commended the INEC and its staffs for complying with electoral act,he noted the presence of Party agents of PDP. APC,and the Labour Party at the Polling units.

Buhari Wins in Ogun State

                   


The Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC, in Ogun State on Sunday night announced the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as the winner of the poll in the state.
The State Collating Officer,Duro Oni, while announcing the results to journalists at about 9.00 p.m. at the commission’s headquarters in Abeokuta said of the total 559,613 votes cast, the APC candidate polled 308,290 to defeat President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who scored 207,950.

Abuja Election results: APC Polls 10,853,PDP Polls 7,762 Votes




The result INEC released on Sunday indicates that APC won the elections in Abuja with a total votes of 10,853 votes while PDP polls 7,762 votes.
The APC senatorial candidate also defeated the incumbent PDP senator
The returning Officer Dr Abdullahi Mohammed Evunti of the Department of chemical Engineering, University of Abuja, told journalist that register voters were 42,401, while accredited voters was 20,017

A breakdown of votes received by political parties show ACPN 14, ADC 11, APC 10, 853, NCP 25, 

PDP 7,762, PPN 16, UDP 03, APA 26, AA 09, KOWA 03, CPP 16, HDP 02, AD 05 and UPP 02.

Katsina Police Commissioner dies

  

The Police Public Relation officer DSP Aminu Sadiq announced the death of Katsina police commissioner Alhaji Mohammad Hurdi yesterday.
sadiq said that Hurdi died on March 27th after a protracted sickness,he said the late Commissioner joined the force in 1988 as ASP  cadet and rose through the rank to Commissioner.

The PPRO said that the Hurdi will be remembered as patriotic and dedicated officer who gave his best  to the service of  his Fatherland.

Air Canada Crash land at Halifax airport today

   It's no wonder why many passengers were treated for injuries as the force of impact was substantial

Air Canada Airbus A320 carrying 132 passengers and 5 crew members on board crash land this morning at Halifax airport,the plane crash into a power line on approach under a heavy snow fall which may have caused reduced visibility.
25 people were hospitalized,Air Canada Flight AC624 departed from Toronto Pearson International Airport.
