Germany's Biggest Ever Cocaine Haul Seized
Customs officials in Germany have put on display the country’s biggest ever cocaine haul.
More than 700 kilos of the class A drug, with a purity of 80 percent, were seized.
The cocaine – smuggled from the Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao – is said to have been hidden under lead in a shipping container.
Authorities in the Netherlands reportedly tipped off their German colleagues after criminals searching for the haul kidnapped two people, one of whom later escaped.
