First case of Zika virus in Europe  has been Confirmed in Spain,a Pregnant Spanish Woman has tested positive to the Zika virus,the woman in her second trimester has just returned from Colombia.
Spanish official says she is one of the 7 persons identified as being infected with the virus.
Zika, carried by mosquitoes, has recently rampaged through the Caribbean and Latin America,It is mostly dangerous for pregnant women and expectant mother has been warned not to travel to affected areas.the virus has been linked to babies born with abnormal small head

Army Cadet Video: Nigerian Defence Academy Releases Statement

               

The Viral Video of army cadet beating a civilian has drawn the attention of the Nigerian Defence Academy to issue a statement over the incident, the army says that the a preliminary investigation shows that it was an occurrence of 2014.

"The attention of The Nigerian Defence Academy has been drawn to a trending video showing Cadets beating some persons. Please note that NDA is investigating the incident. Preliminary investigation has confirmed the incident to have occurred in 2014 somewhere in Lagos while the Cadets were on break. NDA as a responsible institution saddled with task of producing future military leaders will not in anyway tolerate such unruly and flagrant mistreatment of Nigerians. The NDA under current leadership has addressed most disciplinary loopholes. Further investigation is continuing. Please assist and circulate. Thanks. Nigerian Defence Academy"

Singer Rihanna said on Ellen Show that she is single but too busy to entertain a relationship, not that she doesn't want to but owing to so much she's got to handle may not allow it.

FG Recovers Over $14m Unpaid Oil Royalty From Jide Omokore

                      

The Nigerian government has succeeded in compelling the Chairman of Atlantic Energy Drilling Concepts Nigeria Limited, Jide Omokore to cough out over $14m, being crude oil royalty which his company failed to remit to the federal treasury, administration insiders have told PREMIUM TIMES.

High ranking federal officials familiar with the development told this newspaper that the funds were supposed to have been paid between 2011 and 2012 by Atlantic Energy which was, in controversial circumstances, awarded oil assets by the Goodluck Jonathan government shortly after it was incorporated in 2010.

Former governor of Delta State, James Onanefe Ibori has completed his prison terms in the United Kingdom. But he is yet to be a free man, as he was immediately re-arrested.

Eleven people have survived a helicopter crash that occurred around the Muritala Mohammed International  Airport, Punch Report.
The crash has also been confirmed by the Public Relations Officer, South-West National Emergency Management Agency, Ibrahim Farinloye.

NIMASA Paid My Company N905.8m For Contract We Did Not Execute

             

A Prosecution witness, a Lawyer and a Businessman Uche Obilor told a Lagos High Court that NIMASA paid his company N905.8m for a contract that was not carried out.
He said non of his three companies, place a bid for a contract with the agency,but, Seabulk Offshore Limited, Southern Offshore Limited and Ace Prothesis Limited got N905.8m from the Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency.NIMASA.

The testimony was on the trial of Patrick Akpobolokemi Ex DG NIMASA,who is accused of allegedly converting N2.6bn agency fund to his own.He was arraigned before Justice Ibrahim Buba along with three others – Captain Ezekiel Agaba, Ekene Nwakuche, Governor Juan – and three companies – Blockz and Stonz Limited, Kenzo Logistics Limited and Al-Kenzo Logistic Limited.
