Even Them will i bring to my holy mountain,and Make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offering and their sacrifice shall be accepted upon mine altar ; for mine house shall be call an house of Prayer.

                                           INTRODUCTION

There are four major assignments given by God to all believers apart from the assignment or responsibilities which cannot be rightly called minor for commandments of God are important.

The Four major responsibilities are:

1.PRAYERS -1Thessalonian 5:17;Luke 18:1



   We must read the bible every day ,meditate on the word of God  regularly and assimilate it into our spirit our spirit,soul and bodies-Matt 4:4; Proverb; 20-22; Josh 1:8; 2 Tim 2:15.

2.BIBLE STUDY -Josh 1:8 Proverb; 20-22;  2 Tim 2:15.

    The second major assignment given to us by God is Studying and understanding God.
3.THE THIRD MAJOR ASSIGNMENT GIVEN TO BELIEVERS IS SERVICE-every one of us must do something for God.All of us without exception must voluntarily release ourselves for service within the body of Christ- Ps100,2; Galatians 5:13 Heb 10:25.

4 THE FOURTH ASSIGNMENT IS SOUL WINNING -Mark 16:15; Matthew 28:19-20.


DEFINITION OF PRAYER
When everything is going fine people people don't see the need to pray. but prayer is higher than just making God a father Christmas or a supermarket where you go anytime and pick something you need.
                                                      PRAYER

1.Prayer is asking & recieving from God
2 Prayer is conversation of the soul with God or the lifting up of our eyes unto God-Ps123:1.121:1
3.Prayer is the spreading of our helplessness before God in the name of Jesus.Ps 65:2 Act:4:12;John14:14

4. Prayer is calling unto God
5 Prayer is pleading with God
6.Prayer is pouring out your heart unto God
7.Prayer is crying unto God Sam 1:15
8.Prayer is groaning and travailing in the spirit Roman 8:26
9.Prayer is the panting and thirsting of the soul after God Ps 42:1
10.Prayer is the time of refreshing and renewal of strenght in God's Presence Isaiah 40:31; Ps 16:11

                                                  THE  COMMAND TO PRAY

We are commanded to pray in several passages in the scripture
1.Pray to the father in secret Mtt 6.6
2 Pray for them that despitefully use you-Matt 5:4
3When you pray do not use vain repitation Matt6:7
4.After this manner pray- Matthew 6:9
5.Pray that the lord of harvest should send forth labourer-Matthew9:38
6.Watch and pray Matt 26:41
7.Pray for what you desire. Matt 11:24
8.Men ought to pray always -Luk 18:1
9.Pray with help of the spirit -Roman 8:26
10.Pray for interpretation of tongue
11.Pray With the spirit and pray with understanding also- Cor 14:14-25
12 Pray Without Ceasing 1 Thess 5:17
13Men should pray everywhere lifting up hands -1 Tim2:8
14 pray for the sick- jam 5:14
15.Pray for one another -James 5:16
16 Call Upon me and 1 will answer -Jer 33:3
17 .pray for your leaders-Cor Thess 3:1 Heb13:18
18.Leaders pray for your followers  2Thess 1:11
