The Directorate of Security Service,DSS has been criticized by the Committee for Defence of Democracy (CDD) for raiding the residence of a Bayelsa Monarch, King A.J Turner, calling it as unlawful and an abuse of power and right.
The Committee wondered what could warrant the raid of the residence of the monarch if not political vendetta.
“Consequent upon the latest action of the DSS invading the residence of King A.J Turner, the civil society situation room is issuing a 24-hour ultimatum to the DSS to desist from this glaring war against the South-south region, particularly allies of Jonathan.
“If so much honour and respect can be accorded to the traditional institutions in the North and Yoruba land, same institutions in the South-south cannot be subjected to ridicule in the name of political vendetta,” CDD warned.
King Turner was a close associate to former President Jonathan
