The Ex Governor of Bayelsa State,Alamieyeseigha reportedly dead of cardiac arrest at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital,after slipping into Coma two day ago.he was placed on Life support but never made it.
His Death was confirmed by the Commissioner of Information of Bayelsa state,Esueme Dan-Kikili
There was report in the past week that the British Government is requesting his extradition to face trial for allegation of money laundering in the UK.
Diepreye Alamieyeseigha was born on November 16, 1952 in Amassoma, Ogboin North Local Government Area Bayelsa State and had his secondary school education at the Bishop Dimeari.Grammar School, Yenagoa.
He joined the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1974 and was enlisted into the Airforce,he retired as a squadron Leader in 1992.
He was a Governor of Bayelsa from May 29th 1995 to December 9 2005.he was impeached
