Warrant Officer Etim, and
Air Craft Woman, Naomi Adekunle.

Ex-NSA Colonel Dasuki Trial Begins On Tuesday

Former National Security Adviser Col Dasuki will be arraign before a Federal High Court In Abuja on Tuesday for for allegedly being in possession of firearms without license.
The Department of State Security Service,DSS had, in a statement released by one of its officials, Tony Opuiyo, on August 24, 2015, said that it had charged Dasuki with the alleged offence.
Though details was not released, but the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Ibrahim Auta, had on Friday assigned the case to Justice Adeniyi Ademola, who is the court’s vacation judge.

EFCC Set Up Four Man Panel On Ex Petroleum Minister Diezani

                           

The EFCC has set up a 4 man panel to commence a full investigation on the Immediate paste Minister of Petroleum Diezani Alison-Madueke and the NNPC
It was learnt on Sunday that the commission constituted a four-member committee of crack detectives to probe all the NNPC accounts which were supervised by the former minister.
 the committee was led by a Superintendent of Police, who was seconded to the commission.

DSS Arrest Boko Haram Commander Linked With Suicide Attacks

     

The State Security Service of Nigeria said it has arrested   Boko Haram suspects and their Commander linked to several suicide attacks recently across the country.
The DSS in a statement said  that Usman Shuiabu known as Money and other frontline members of the hardline Islamist group were picked up in Lagos, Kano, Plateau, Enugu and Gombe states between July and August.

Federal Inland Revenue Service To Go After 325,000 Companies Evading Tax

                                  

The FIRS Boss has decided to go after multi-Nationals,Corporate Organisation and individual who are evading paying taxes in the country.
Statistics of the Service reveals that out of the 450,000 companies in Nigeria, only 125,000, representing 27.7 per cent, pay any form of taxes.Going by this figure, it implies that about 325,000 companies are evading tax, thus denying the government huge revenue annually.

Publisher Commits Suicide over Poor Newspaper sales

                                     

A Delta State Newspaper Publisher Solomon (surname Withheld) took his own life over poor sale of his weekly newspaper and Magazine in Asaba.
A suicide note he allegedly left behind,  read, “I cannot stay alive suffering when nobody is helping me. Even my wife and children abandoned me and sales in my newspaper business have been very poor.”

Security agencies are now probing   how the administration of  former President Goodluck Jonathan allegedly withdrew $6.9million (N1.460b) from a secret account of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC) to buy three  12 meter (40 feet)  mobile stages for use at public events.
The cash was said to be part of the unremitted funds into the Federation Account by NNPC.
The purported purchase, according to investigation, did not pass through due process and was known only to Dr. Jonathan, his then Chief Security Officer, Mr. O.J. Obuah and former Petroleum Minister Diezani Alison-Madueke.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency said it has obtained the  CCTV of the how the Arik Air staffs,Ikechukwu Oliver smuggled 20kg drug on board Flight W3101 bound for London,
The Agency also said it invited the younger brother of main suspect Chika Udensi for questioning over the ongoing investigation of the seized in London.
The  agency further disclosed 3  cars has been seized from the suspect, a Dodge Hemi Magnum, have been seized from the main suspect.

Al-Jazeera Journalist sentence to 3 years In Prison

Three Al Jazeera Journalist accused of spreading False News has been sentenced to 3 years in prison at a retrial in Cairo today.
Mohamed Fahmy and Egyptian Baher Mohamed was taken to prison from the court after the verdict.
Australian Peter Greste was deported back to Australia earlier this year and was on trial again in absentia.the three were accused of aiding the Muslim Brotherhood.

Chad Republic Executes 10 Convicted Boko Haram Members

Chad authority have executed 10 members of Boko haram on Saturday by Firing squad,they will sentenced to death on Friday after been found guilty of double suicide Killing.
They were accused of criminal conspiracy, killings, willful destruction with explosives, fraud, illegal possessions of arms and ammunition, as well as using psychotropic substances. 
Among the executed is a Nigerian national Mahamat Mustapha, also known as Bana Fanaye,who the Chadian said masterminded the the June 15 suicide bombing that killed 38 people

Ex President Jonathan Body Guard Posted Out of Presidential Villa

                                       

About 150 Bodyguard of former President Jonathan, were finally posted out of the Villa to various state command of the DSS.
The men have been laying redundant since the exit of their former boss,the men have earlier been ordered by the ADC to President Buhari to quit the presidential villa.

DSS Arrest 14 years Old Boko Haram Suspect Spying at Abuja Airport

                  

The Department of State Services (DSS) has arrested a fourteen-year-old Sulaiymon Abdulraman, otherwise known as Sunday Ajayi, who was working for the Boko Haram sect at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

Ajayi, a native of Kogi State was arrested by the DSS in liaison with Aviation Security while controlling a spying network mounted by the Boko Haram terrorists.

Warri Refinery Shut Down Over Crude Shortage

                              

The Warri Refinery has been shut down due to operational challenges according to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC.
 Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the NNPC, Mr. Ohi Alegbe, who disclosed this, noted, however, that the refinery is expected to be reopened on Tuesday,he said the decision to shut down the refinery was due to insufficient crude supply.

The soldiers  carried out a search operation at Sandia, Kokakowa and Nyaleri villages suspected to be Boko Haram enclaves early today, discovered and destroyed another Improvised Explosives Device (IED) making factory at Miyati and Nyaleri villages, along Maiduguri-Bulabulin-Damboa road, in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno State, Nigeria. 
 Three terrorists were arrested comprising an “Ameer”, a high contact and a foot soldier. Among items discovered apart of the IED making equipment, were a Peugeot pick up van, foodstuffs, 10-KVA Lister generator, gas cylinders, borehole, 9 bags of fertiliser, pumping machine, 3 bags of maize, 1 bag of millet and 13 empty AGO jerry cans, amongst others.
