
Not Fewer than 11 people died yesterday in Onitsha during the Protest by the pro Biafra group, Economic activities in Onitsha was brought to a halt as protesters block both end of the Headbridge linking the Anambra to the West, the Asaba and Onitsha Side.
The death occurred as the Joint Task Force moved in to dismantle the barricade placed on both side of the bridge.the JTF comprise of Policemen Naval rating and men of the Civil Defence.
The protest which turned violent lead to the burning down of the central mosque,along with 8 Dangote trucks in Onitsha.
The Protester are calling for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the director of the underground Biafra Radio Station,he was arrested on October by the DSS,he has been charge to court by the DSS.
